Vidyara has a few words of its own. Here’s what each one means, with a link to the full explanation.

01Daily practice and play

Dopamine
Vidyara’s points. Right answers, Arena rounds, streak milestones and upvotes add Dopamine; a wrong practice answer takes a little away. More
Level
Your rank based on your Dopamine. Level 2 starts at 100 Dopamine, and each level after that takes longer. More
Streak 🔥
How many days in a row you’ve been active. Miss a whole day and it starts again from 1. More
Feed
Your home screen: practice questions, doubts, Face-Off results and suggestions. More
Fix your mistakes
A card in your feed that brings back questions you got wrong, so you can try them again. More
Face-Off
One question a day from each teacher you’re connected to. Lock your answer before 9 PM, see the crowd split, get the reveal at 9 PM. More
Lock
Submitting your Face-Off answer. Locked answers can’t be changed.
Crowd split
How everyone answered a Face-Off question, shown as percentages after you lock.
Arena
Five quick brain games: Speed Math, Pattern Series, Memory, Target Number and Word Rush. More
Perfect game
An Arena round with no mistakes. It pays a bonus and counts towards Arena badges.
Daily Challenge
One round each of four Arena games, back to back, new every midnight. More
Play live
A real-time 1-v-1 Arena match against a friend. More

Connect
Joining a teacher’s squad with one tap. Their questions and Face-Offs come to you first. More
Squad
All the students connected to one teacher. Each teacher’s Face-Off is played by their squad.
Community questions
Practice questions a teacher shares only with their squad.
Doubt
A question you post for teachers and students to answer. More
Solved
The person who asked a doubt marks it solved when they have their answer.
Badge
A reward for a milestone — a 10-day streak, 100 right answers, your first perfect Arena game. More

03Courses and batches

Course
Video lessons, materials, tests and assignments from one teacher or institute. More
Free preview
A lesson anyone can watch before buying. A course can have up to three.
Access window
How long a purchase lasts — for example 180 days. You can renew it any time. More
Test series
Timed tests inside a course, graded the moment you submit. More
Batch
A coaching institute’s programme: several courses in one purchase, with a group chat. More
Storefront
An institute’s public page listing its batches. More
Certificate
Earned when you finish every lesson in a course. More

Teaching Hub
A teacher’s home for courses, exams, the Face-Off, students and earnings.
Host Face-Off
Where a teacher posts their daily Face-Off question. More
Feed Curation
Where teachers and institutes post practice questions. More
Wallet
Where your earnings collect before you withdraw them to your bank. More
Institute Console
An institute’s dashboard for faculty, batches, students and fees. More
