Dopamine is Vidyara’s points: one score for everything you get right. Here’s exactly how you earn it, how you can lose it, and how levels work.

Dopamine is the score behind your level and the leaderboards. Every correct answer in Vidyara pays into the same total — practice questions, Arena games, streak milestones and upvotes on your doubts and answers.
01How to earn Dopamine

Some things are just for learning and fun, and don’t pay Dopamine: tests, watching lessons, the Face-Off, the Daily Challenge bonus and live-match wins.
02The rules in plain words
- Practice: a wrong answer costs half what a right one pays, so guessing loses Dopamine. A question you got wrong keeps counting when you retry it, until you get it right — then it’s solved and never pays or costs again.
- Arena: leave a game early and you keep what you earned. Speed Math’s perfect game means at least 10 right, none wrong, to the final second.
- Streaks: each milestone pays once in your life. If your streak breaks, the new one earns nothing until it passes your best. With a best of 100 days, the next milestone pay is on day 200.
- Votes: downvotes cost what upvotes pay. A post is worth its highest level only. Your own vote never counts, and a vote taken back takes its Dopamine back.
- No daily limit. Dopamine can’t be spent or exchanged — it’s a score, not money. It can even go below zero.
03Levels
Your level comes from your Dopamine. The first levels come quickly; after level 4 each level is twice as long as the one before.

- Your card shows how much more you need: “12.4 Dopamine to level 3”.
- When you reach a new level you get a notification: “🚀 Level 3 unlocked!”
- Your level follows your current Dopamine, so it can drop if wrong answers or downvotes pull your total down.

05Common questions
Why is it called Dopamine?
Dopamine is the brain’s “that felt good” chemical. On Vidyara, you get it for getting smarter — not for endless scrolling.
Why did my Dopamine go down?
A wrong first answer on a practice question costs 0.05, and downvotes on your posts cost Dopamine. Take your time on questions you’re unsure of.
Can I use Dopamine to buy courses?
No. Dopamine is a score for your level and the leaderboards. It can’t be spent or exchanged for money.
Do teachers earn Dopamine?
No — Dopamine and the leaderboards are for students. Teachers have their own badges.
